I think most of us can all agree that the blogging world has been a bit strained the past few months or so. With the drama of Bloglovin, Instagram and other bloggers bashing each other, blogging can sometimes make you feel a bit deflated and unsure of whether blogging is something you still want to be apart of. Lot's of us have noticed our hard work go to waste with certain apps making things harder for us to get noticed, there's also people cheating their way to the top by buying fake followers and playing games, resulting in some of us going on digital or social media detoxes to get away from it all. I know it's not just me who's been feeling a little burnt out and fed up with everything that has been going on. So I really wanted to share this post with anyone who has been feeling a bit 'meh' about blogging lately and needs some help in falling back in love with this hobby that was actually pretty damn fun! Here's what I have been trying to do to fall back in love with blogging:
One of the most exciting things about being an enthusiast of all things beauty is that you get to try out so many different products from a range of different areas, like makeup or skincare. I'm always on the hunt for new skincare products and testing out new ones to find the ones that work well for me. This also means I like to go for something that is also affordable, because let's face it when you love trying out different products all the time, it can rack up quite the expense.
Anatomicals are a brand I got introduced to through Instagram and spotted over on ASOS. Their fun and quirky themed products really enticed me in and I just couldn't help myself but want to know more. They kindly sent over a more than generous PR package with a mixture of skincare products a and also some cute little lip balms for me to try. Over the past few weeks, I've been trialing these Anatomical goodies and I'm going to share my views in today's post.
When you first get diagnosed with a mental health illness of any form, it can seem so daunting and overwhelming. Sometimes it can even be a relief to finally know what's going on inside your mind and be able to go forward with your recovery now you're aware of just what it is you're suffering with. In no way does that mean it is easy (if only it was, huh?). Its complicated and sometimes it can be messy. But it is a learning process and a challenge that brings the greatest personal achievements and growth no matter how big or small they may be. Suffering from a mental illness teaches you so many important things about yourself and the world around you. It's always good to keep in mind some of these things to help you through even the darkest of times and use your experience and knowledge as a way to help other people. Here are some important things to remember when you with suffer with any mental health illness:
We all have our prefered lip colours and formulas. Sometimes they change with the seasons or as our own tastes change. Pink shades have always been one of my go to's and in particular the most popular shade I reach for come Spring time. I have so many beautiful pink colours within my collection that all slightly differ in shade range or formula and finish, so there literally is something there for any occasion and any kind of preference for when I decide to opt for a pink lip. There are all also super affordable so if you're looking for some pink lip inspiration for Spring time, then keep on reading..
You may or may not have noticed things have been a little quiet from me the past month or so on my blog and over on my social media pages. I'm not going to go too much into why I have been so inactive because that's a story for another day. But when you have things going on in your offline life that are more than stressful, it can be hard to focus on anything but what it is going on and results in your blogging and online world becoming the least of your concerns.
Reading has always one of my favourite pass time activities. I used to be such a bookworm when I was younger. I'd always be reading something and making frequent visits to the local library to grab a new book. Sadly in recent years I've seemed to drift away from reading as much and I really want to get back into reading more regularly again. Today's post I thought I'd share with you some books that are currently on my to read list. If you're like me and want to get back into reading or find some new books to read, then check out my list below to gather some ideas!
One lip formula that I and everybody else can not get enough of is a matte finish! It's been on trend for the past couple of years now and it doesn't look like it's going away anytime soon. They're highly pigmented and they last way longer than any other finish. They're so ideal for long busy days where you don't want to be nor have the time to be topping up your makeup all the time. You also want something that is super comfortable. Matte lips can have the tendency (particularly if you already suffer with dry lips) to feel drying and unpleasant when worn. But since I've been trying out a number of different matte lip products for quite some time now, I've managed to find some amazing formulas that don't give you that awful rough feeling.
